OUR INGREDIENTS
Mrs B’s mantra is ‘Keep it simple, keep it natural’, in today’s world we are seeing more and more people developing allergies. So she wants all of her products to be chemical and preservative free, to do this she uses, wherever possible, organic, natural ingredients. All of the lotions and products for your skin have been thoroughly checked and have Safety Assessments and are registered on the CPNP portal as required by law.
The labelling of the products also complies with UK law and has clear ingredients lists showing exactly what is in them. If you are looking for something that is going to sit on your dressing table for years please carry on looking. Mrs B’s products won’t last for years, actually they might but time will tell! But you know that they are natural with no added chemicals or preservatives.
Keep it simple, keep it natural!
So what does she put in her products?
We thought you might like to know the various benefits of the ingredients that are used to make the products and there are not many. As said previously the label will have a complete list of what is in it.
Obviously the first is Beeswax,
-
It is rich in vitamins including vitamins E, A, D and B. Vitamin A helps the reconstruction of skin cells, reduces wrinkles, fades brown spots, smooth's roughness and helps control acne. Vitamin B is an anti-inflammatory. Vitamin D plays an important role in skin tone and may even help with psoriasis. Vitamin E quells dryness by helping skin to retain its natural moisturizers.
-
It aids hydration and helps to restore and maintain your skins moisture levels
-
It is hypo-allergenic, making it a perfect ingredient for sufferers of Eczema and Dermatitis
-
It has anti-inflammatory properties, helping to relieve the irritations of these skin complaints
Next we have Sweet Almond Oil, which shares a lot of the properties of Beeswax
-
•It is rich in Vitamin E, A, D and B, has antioxidants, healthy fats and zinc properties.
-
•It has a high level of fatty acids, these act as a natural emollient for the skin and can help lock in moisture by forming a protective barrier. Emollients are especially effective for conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis or rosacea. If you have oily skin this may make you wary, but, the acne-forming oil that is produced by your skin is different. Acne sufferers are prone to producing a sticky oil called sebum that can clog the pores with dead skin cells and other debris. The fatty acids in sweet almond oil help dissolve the sebum, creating cleaner skin and pores, helping to get rid of the acne.
-
Zinc properties found in Sweet Almond Oil help heal cracked skin.
-
It is hypo-allergenic, making it a perfect ingredient for sufferers of Eczema and Dermatitis

Then we have Cocoa Butter
-
It makes an excellent skin moisturiser and does more than just hydrate the skin — it helps actually heal it from the inside out too.
-
It’s a great source of natural antioxidants that are found in cocoa beans (the same kinds found in real, dark chocolate that are tied to benefits like heart health and improved cognitive functioning). Saturated fats are especially beneficial for healing dry, cracked skin because they’re easily absorbed and remain on the skin for hours.
-
Natural hydrating products tend to cause much less irritation for people with sensitive skin while still locking in moisture, since they’re free from additives, fragrances, colours and dyes used in most commercial products.
-
It is high in antioxidants which help fight off free radicals damage to the skin. Free radicals can cause skin aging, dark patches, and even dull skin. Protecting your skin from free radical damage is a must if you want healthy and younger looking skin.
-
It is also anti-inflammatory which is important for our skin. This also makes cocoa butter an anti-aging skin care ingredient.

It is high in fatty acids and hydrates the skin deeply making it a wonderful addition to body moisturizers and lip balms. It contains oleic acid, palmitic acid, and stearic acid all of which nourish the skin deeply.

So we are keeping it simple with our ingredients whilst aiming to get maximum protection and help for our skin. The only other things we include are essential oils for perfume and some fragrances, these also have benefits for us and we have included a list of the oils and their benefits separately (click the button below to see these).
The fragrances are all IFRA approved and checked.
As we develop further products the ingredient list may increase if we find an ingredient that gives us something more but for now this is it!
